<\/p>\nThe Association of Firearms and Ammuni on Dealers (AFAD) is gearing up for its third and final hos ng of the 30th Defense and Sports Arms Show Manila Edi on, scheduled for November 20-24 at the SMX Conven on Center in Pasay City.<\/p>\n

AFAD spokesperson Alaric “Aric” Topacio expressed the enthusiasm of all participating members for the five-day event, which will showcase the finest locally and internally manufactured sporting firearms and shoo ng products. This year\u2019s edition takes on heightened significance as the firearms industry braces for the upcoming gun ban ahead of next year\u2019s midterm national elections Senator and fellow gun enthusiast JV Ejercito has been invited as the special guest for the opening ceremony on November 20.<\/p>\n
While gun dealers can continue opera ng during the gun ban, Topacio admitted those sales typically experience a slump during this period as buyers grow hesitant due to uncertainties in processing required documents.<\/p>\n

In addition to its focus on sales, AFAD remains committed to promote ng responsible gun ownership through a lineup of ac vi es and programs during the event. In collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP), a one stop service area will be available for the application and renewal of licenses to own and possess firearms.<\/p>\n
